For more
than three decades, the rapid experience of Taiwan’s economy has been
accompanied by the development of industrial parks. In type these parks have
also changed according to the different stages of economic development and the
varying needs of regional growth, transforming gradually from the traditional
labor-intensive processing operations to capital-intensive technology
industrial parks such as the recently developed Yunlin and Tainan Technology
industrial parks. The facilitation of factory establishment, creation in government
tax revenues, and accelerated economic expansion provided by the development of
Taiwan over the past decades.
